Established in the 1960s, Gowrings Mobility was a pioneer in what has now become a larger and more competitive business. We set the standards. We first invented the original 'Chairman' wheelchair passenger vehicle design based on the Austin Mini Countryman.
We introduced a more sophisticated conversion with a cut, lowered floor and lowering suspension, which provided much easier wheelchair access. We were the first supplier of wheelchair passenger vehicles to Motability.
Over the years, we have stood out for our innovative designs and high standards on quality. As the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier of wheelchair passenger vehicles, we have continued to stay close to the real needs of our customers.
We also market a leading range of swivel seats; a successfully crash-tested power chair designed for travelling in cars; and innovative, flexible ramp kits.
