With over 15 years experience in brand development and consumer marketing, Janet Seward joined Gowrings Mobility in 2001. She joined ICL as a graduate trainee, spent a year working in a market research agency, followed by 11 years in a variety of brand marketing roles with Motorola.
At Gowrings Mobility, Janet Seward's focus has been on improving marketing effectiveness and identifying new products. In 2004, Janet became responsible for Retail Sales and was promoted to Sales & Marketing Director in 2006.
She lives with her husband and two young children.
Linda joined Gowrings plc in 1985, becoming Managing Director in 2000. In 2008, she decided to step down from the role to spend more time with her family and young grandchildren.
She enjoys travelling, going to the theatre and occasionally performing on stage when she can fit it into her busy schedule.
Linda is currently the Chair of the trade association, WAVCA (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Converters' Association), of which Gowrings Mobility was a founding member. Through this association, and her many other industry contacts, it is Linda's aim to improve the safety and product standards of the industry and increase the importance of customer service excellence in this special marketplace.
Colston Herbert joined Gowrings Mobility as a Non-Executive Director in September 1999, and after a few years as Chairman, became Managing director in 2008.
Colston has many years of senior level business experience, working primarily in the pharmaceutical industry. Working for Sterling Winthrop Inc. for seventeen years, he retired from his position as President of their Consumer Health Business in Europe in 1994. With considerable experience in all aspects of healthcare, Colston has been Chairman of an NHS Trust and Chairman of a leisure company.
In addition to Gowrings Mobility, he also advises, in various capacities, no less than five other organisations and businesses, the most significant of which is his Executive Chairmanship of Disperse Technologies plc.
Colston assists and guides the Board of Directors at Gowrings Mobility on long-term strategy and other issues.
Colston is married with five children. Leisure time is taken up with his responsibilities as Chairman of his local cricket and rugby clubs.
Fiona Millyard, a member of the Association of Accounting & Technicians, has been with the company for 17 years, assisting in its management buyout from Gowrings plc in 1994.
Fiona Millyard was promoted to Operations Director in 2005, and is now responsible for the IT, Customer Services and Transport Logistics Departments. Fiona also runs the Finance department under Finance & Manufacturing Director, Nicola Moggs.
A member of the National Trust and English Heritage, Fiona, who has two sons, lives with her partner and their cat.
In 1997 Nicola Moggs joined Gowrings Mobility as a management accountant. A member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, she brought with her six years' accountancy and manufacturing experience gained at Mono Pumps (part of Dresser).
Following a series of promotions, Nicola was elected to the Board as a Director in June 2002.
Nicola is a first rate netball player, having played at county level, and is a member of her local netball club. She lives with her partner and they have two children.
